A few weeks ago… I planned this wonderful little workshop for the two most adorable little boys, Teagan and Oscar. With their moms, we all had so much fun creating those colorful and whimsical birdies, made out of toilet paper rolls!

I prepared the birds ahead of time, so they would only have to decorate them. I was able to have their attention for about 45 minutes and they were off to play : )
To make the birds, you will need toilet paper rolls, a hot glue gun and a pair of scissors. If you want to know the process, you can easily find lots of variations on the web, just by googling ”Toilet Paper Rolls Crafts”. Because I had planned to make mobiles, I added a piece of twine before I glued them. I also brought a few pieces of driftwood.

A perfect little craft, lots of fun and a very inexpensive way… to keep the kids and the older kids busy, on a rainy day!

It was such a pleasure to watch them choose their construction paper, colors & paint. When everyone was done, while they were off playing, I attached the birds on a piece of driftwood, just in time for the ”Artists and their work picture”.
I don’t have to tell you how proud they were!
