On the 9th Day of Christmas… My Great Coup de Coeur for Goede Vibes

On the ninth day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

We were going to visit Christmas in Petite. More than 60 artisans spread across several venues! I didn’t know any of them. I quickly looked through the list and tried to choose three sites and about twenty artisans. Among them was Goede Vibes. But as I did my research, I must have made a mistake, because at the end of the day, I had met great people, seen a lot of beautiful creations, but I realized I didn’t find them! I was disappointed for sure… but I knew I would have the opportunity to cross paths with them.

A true Creative Crush!

The next day, I went with my friends Anita & Sharon, to the Designer Craft Show in Halifax. I arrived at Pavilion 22 without expectations and especially without a list. And surprise, I was! The first booth was visible from the entrance of the building. Destiny… fate… or was it just a coincidence…

It was the Goede Vibes kiosk!

Oh my!!! You should have seen a really happy girl! I got to chat with Mike who talked about their creations. Good Vibes is Mike and Sherey Goede, a creative couple exploring photography, folk art, reclaimed wood landscapes, embroidery, textiles, and printing. A real Coud de Coeur! I love the choice of materials, the different techniques, and the colors beautifully contrasting with the natural wood.
