Christmas Tree at Risser's Beach

Decorating a Tree in a Forest by the Sea… 30 Christmases without you…

In a little forest near the ocean, there are Christmas trees waiting to be decorated. For the first time, I had fun creating colorful quillies made with strips of wool from my rug hooking supplies. Starting with a few… the idea of reaching 30… quickly came to me.

This year will be the 30th Christmas without you, Mom. Itt’s hard to believe how fast time went by. Life went on, as Dad used to say, who ultimately left to be with you again. Life went on. Today, only memories all left from our family Christmases. Don’t worry, you know, I am very happy in my Paradise by the sea. With my Barry, Zoé & Henri, surrounded by all those who love us, family and friends. We will have a loving and tender Christmas.

It’s for you that I will dedicate and decorate my tree… at the heart of Risser’s Beach Park.

Rug hooking wool strips just perfect to make quillies… lots of quillies…

and apples… of course apples, for you will always be a teacher!

Some of the other trees… so beautifully decorated!

All of this, thanks to Leslie, another beautiful teacher who touched my heart with her joy and inspiring creativity. With our hot chocolates and decorations, we went in search of our trees. Here is her wonderful creation, the polka dot doves for Peace.

Time to unload my little, yet precious cargo!

Life is beautiful by the sea, on the South Shore of Nova Scotia!

A few days later… a soft and white blanket of snow came to complete our work of love.

For those who may have a heavy heart these next few days, I wish you a Christmas filled with peace and beautiful memories; but above all, to never stop making new ones.
