Pierre & Marie-Luce… & Michèle 20 years later…

This past Summer, 2 days before our wedding, I had the pleasure of seeing Marie-Luce at the Marché aux Fleurs in Saint-Bruno. A very happy encounter that brought me back in a flash to 1999… An amazing work and personal experience, that turned into a magnificent project, filled with creativity, passion, personality and very good choices that have stood the test of time.

I met Michèle Reid just after the 1998 ice storm. Michèle was an architect and she was the one who gave me my first chance to work in architecture and design. Little we know, that it was going to be an adventure that would end far too soon; when she was just 51… That’s my age today… 51!

Michèle was the most influential person in my career… She traced a path that brought me here… 21 years later… It is also because of her, that I met Pierre and Marie-Luce, I was just 30 years old… A project that first started with Michèle and that I took on my two young shoulders with the trust of two clients who would also greatly influence my young career…

What a pleasure to see Marie-Luce again, that day at the florist where I felt like I was losing my mind running between the peonies, the wedding cake and everything else…

Even better to hear Marie-Luce tell me how they loved their house, that everything was still as we had designed it and that they still used the paint code charts that I had made for them. A few weeks later, I went to visit the house that we imagined and built, Michèle, Pierre, Marie-Luce and I, almost 20 years ago…

A beautiful house full of life where contemporary art rub shoulders with antiques, where family life is at the heart of the house.

Responsible Design, I always say, starts with making good choices! What a fine example!

What more could you ask for… Involved, passionate clients who trusted me! Creating happiness for myself and for others is what I want to do every day!

Thank you Pierre and Marie-Luce
