On the 3rd Day of Christmas… Cakes Etc. by Sharon Hanlon Morash

On the third day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

I met Sharon Hanlon Morash for the first when I visited the Festive Shop in Lunenburg.. I had already been following Svenja Dee on social media for a few years. It was the first time I was also going to meet Svenja, with whom I had already signed up for her Wreath Workshop. (My 12 Days of Christmas are not in chronological order!)

For the last 10 years, the two talented artists have come together for the Holiday Season, to offer a unique space where beauty, delicious treats, and joy come together! There’s no need for huge advertising, their fans are showing up, in greater number every year! Everyone knows everyone, greeting each other as they open the door.

I haven’t told you yet, but that’s how it is in Nova Scotia! People are so welcoming and happy to share their love for this wonderful place, where we have chosen to live!

For 5 weekends during the Holiday Season, Sharon & Svenja welcome us with freshly made products that they are creating throughout the week! Svenja’s wreaths, arrangements and creations are sharing this wonderful space with the delicious treats prepared by Sharon! And if that wasn’t enough… Spiced Hot Cider is offered to keep us warm during our visit in this Paradise for all senses!

Fruitcakes, Shortbread Cookies, Biscottis, Caramelized Nuts, Brownies… All equally delicious! Ask me how I know… loll… We’ve tasted them all!!! They are just impossible to resist!

As I was preparing my Christmas tea, Sharon shared on her Instagram profile, this incredible Gingerbread Cheesecake! It was love at first sight !!!

The Cake was the Show Stopper of our table! Among Sharon’s other creations, we had the Brownies, 2 kinds of biscottis (chocolate, almonds & cranberries), 3 kinds of Shortbread (chocolate, gingerbread, and cranberries)… not to mention all the other favorites.
