On the 12th Day of Christmas… Our First Maritime Christmas!

I want to thank you for reading and following me on this journey of Serial ”Coups de Coeur”! For the final day of My 12 Days of Christmas, I wanted to share the images of our first Christmas and first two months that we will never forget. I wanted to thank Barry (my one and only drummer drumming) who came with me to all the Christmas Markets and who gave me the most beautiful First Christmas in our new home!

We worked hard, we unpacked boxes, assembled furniture, installed lights, fixed all sorts of things… but we also took to the time to enjoy all the beautiful moments that came our way.

For our first Christmas away from our family and friends, we are grateful to have been invited to share Christmas dinner and New Year’s Eve dinner, with our new friends. Since I didn’t think to take any photos, you’ll just have to imagine them 🙂

For Christmas dinner, Anita (our agent & friend), Terry (her husband), Meagan (their daughter) invited us, along with their friends Nancy and Michael, to share a wonderful traditional Turkey meal. A real delight and very lovely evening!

On New Year’s Eve, we shared a Gourmet Experience with Sharon & Guy (our friends & artists) at the Lincoln Street Food in Lunenburg! A 5-course feast and absolute delight. A new Gourmet Coup de Coeur and Favorite for all. Here’s the New Year’s Eve Ardoise!

To celebrate this symbolic passage, I wanted to spend New Year’s Eve on the beach… but the day had been very long, the night very dark, and the tide way too high. So we had to be a but creative! This was our New Year’s Beach (around 10 pm…), lit up with our high beams: )

Heres our First Maritime Christmas in pictures, memories & colors!

Our first Christmas, as well as our first two months in our new house have been simply wonderful! Thank you to everyone who welcomed us and made us feel at home. Thanks to all our Community members, we are so looking forward to seeing again! To our families and friends back home, who have written to us, called us, and kept us in their thoughts, we thank you and we are thinking of you too.

This was the 12th Day of Christmas and therefore the last day of this Series, which allowed me to highlight the artists and artisans of Nova Scotia, the beauty of our new Province, and to witness the kindness and hospitality of Nova Scotians !

I will be back in just over a month, at the beginning of February for the first 100 days of our new Maritime Life!

In the meantime, we will continue to settle in and I will take a short break from my Blog to focus on a new project that’s very dear to my heart. The idea came to me on the morning of January 1, 2024! I’ll be back later today… because January 5th, is a very significant part of my new creative adventure.

Here’s another clue… The Insulators that enlightened me!
