It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since our Big Move. So many dreams fulfilled, new friends made, visitors for our first summer, numerous new passions, and just as many creative explorations… that I wouldn’t have even imagined.
To highlight this first year that has been both inspiring and busy, because I love creating and reinventing traditions; I thought of creating something between an Advent Calendar and the 12 Days of Christmas. Here is my Countdown of the 12 days until Christmas 2024!
Inspired by the most beautiful starry skies, by the colours of the ocean, by the sand that follows you everywhere, and by those inspiring makers I have met, here are some of the Creative Explorations that I have made this year.
What could be better than starting with the tradition we initiated back in Quebec in December 2019, soon after interrupted for three years and thankfully restored in December 2023, in our beautiful new home in Nova Scotia.
On December 4th, our Traditional Christmas Tea took place. More than 35 neighbors and friends came to celebrate the beginning of the Holiday Season and to mark this wonderful first year. We are fortunate to have our families and friends who, despite the distance, are still very present; and to be sharing this moment with the people who are making our life here, an amazing one!
