Gisela’s Cottage – Coups de coeur Nova-Scotia 2022 – Part 2

A few days after Valentine’s Day, last February, we decided to plan a June trip to Nova Scotia. I came upon Gisela’s Cottage on the VRBO website. Everything happened so fast. Soon enough, we realized that many rentals, were already booked and we had to make a decision.

A lovely ”Cape Cod” Style house built around 1790 and renovated with an obvious attention to details, as well as a real desire to retain the original features and its authentic character. Owners Kim and Robert Meyer have done everything you could think of, to offer their guests, the most memorable stay.

From the moment we opened the door, we felt right at home and instantly knew, we had made the right choice. Come on in and see for yourself, the beautiful house, we were lucky to call home, for two wonderful weeks.

The house offers 3 bedrooms, located on the second floor. The staircase is a ”little steep”, but proved to be very safe with the carpet and the rope as a handrail. The bathroom is on the main floor, so we made sure to create a safe lit path, to guide our nocturnal visits.

Sailor tip: Descend the stairs backwards, as we used to do, for the steps of our sailboat!

In Gisela’s House, each window is a living painting…

First morning waking up… To the sound of the rooster…

At the end of the field, two chairs… admiring the ocean, revealed in the distance…

The Kingburg’s rolling hills to the sound of the waves…

Salt Mists, Green Hills, Happiness Paintings

Hirtle Beach & Kingsburg Beach… 15 minutes walks

Our Maritime Paradise!!!

and the ever changing views…

Thank you to Kim and Robert, for kindly sharing their slice of Paradise!

See you next week, to explore more of Kingsburg/ Hirtle Beach…
